Teaching practicum I

Class 6: Great Outfit.

Teachers: Fatima and Vanessa.

Teachers started the class trying to active the previous knowledge of the students

Teacher Vanessa started to play the hangman game, she asked to the students to say a letter and trying to guess the word that was hidden.

After play the game teacher Fatima started to show some flashcards to present the topic.

After that teacher asked to students to make 3 groups, teacher asked to the students to stand up and make 2 lines, students had to be backwards, teacher said an item to a member of the pair, they had to make the draw quickly and show to their partner and that classmate had to guess the item. Who guess first the word got a point.

Class 7: Great Outfit.

Teachers: Abi and Hazel.

Teacher Abgaili started the class playing a song. Then teacher asked to students to form couples and teacher Abigail gave to each couple the lyrics of the song in desorden and students had to listen the song first and look for the orden of the song. then teacher pasted on the board parts of the lyrics of the song in desorder, then students listened the song again and they had to organized the lyrics.

Then they continued presented the topic and pasting on the board some flashcards, while they were presenting the topic they were activing the previous knowleadge, asked to the students about the previous class. Then teacher explains the questions "what is this?" and "What are these" and also provide them the posible answers per each question.

After that teacher started to play a game call "the clothes line" and they put on a line some images of different clothes and they started to play with the students.

teachers were saying a name of the clothes and students needed to go and take the picture that corresponded to the name that teacher were saying.

Class 8: Great Outfit.

Teachers: Karla Rajo and Karla Pineda.

The class started with Karla Pineda, she start in the warm up activity playing a game with a roulete, they started playing with the roulete, the item that the roulete showed students needed to look for the item that corresponded to the name that the roulete had.

Then the class continued and teachers pasted some flashcards on the board, and they started asking to the students for the name of each item to active the previous knowleadge. Then they started to practice some colors.

Then teachers presented a book with an story, and also they provided to students some papers in which they may read the story to the next activity, and also provide them a worksheet that they were going to use after read and listen the story.

After that teachers provide to students some papers to play a Bingo Game with different sentences and by listened the words that teachers were saying, and if they had the word they needed to mark with and "x" that part.

Class 9: Insect life.

Teacher Fernando Canales.

The class started, I pasted on the desks the name of different insects, I asked to students to change spots and look for the paper, then students needed to pass to the front, in the board were pasted some images of different insects, students needed to identify the insect that correspond to the name that they had found pasted on the desks. That activity was just to introduce the topic and check the previous knowleadge about the topic.

After check the previous knowledge I started to correct the items, and to introduce the new topic. Students were practicing the new vocabulary.

After introduce the name of the insects, I introduced 3 different questions: "what is your favorite insect?, what insect don't you like? and what color is it?"

After that, I asked to students to made a circle, and one student will be in the middle, the student that was in the middle were representing an insect, the other ones had a name tag with an insect name. I was going to say a name of an insect and the student that was in the middle had to look for the person that has that name.

The last activity was about a game in which students were divided in two groups, and they had to pass to the front and I was providing them a name of an insect, and they had to describe that insect and the group that guess the insect had a point. The winner group won a chocolate.

Class 11: Insects Life.

Teachers: Gio and Geo.

The class started with teacher Gio, and in the warm up activity they were playing the "insect basket" game, some students has an insect name, and others has another name, when someone says one of their insect names they had to change places, and if someone said "insect basket" all of them had to change places.

Then teacher Georgina presented the topic, and also she introduced the new vocabulary: "Dangerous, ugly, beautiful... Etc."

Then teacher made an activity in which students needed to pass to the front and take and adjective and pasted next to the picture that they though that was correct to describe the insect.

In the next activity students listened an audio and teachers provided them a worksheet and while listening the audio they need to fill the information on the worksheet. After completed that activity students compared answers with their classmates.

Class 12: Body Talk.

Teachers: Karla Rajo and Karla P.

For the warm up activity students made a circle and they started to play the bottle game to select one student to pass to the front to complete the body parts in an image that was pasted on the board.

In the presentation stage teachers introduced the new vocabulary with some flashcards, and also with the name that corresponded per each image. After that student were asked to pass to the front, and teachers provided them a name on one part of the body and they had to pasted it next to the part that corresponded to the name.

For the practice stage students were playing a game in which the teacher said a name and they had to touch the part of the body that teacher was saying.

For the production stage, students were playing the "Simon Says" game, practicing the vocabulary.

In the last activity the students worked on a whorksheet and then they compared answers.

The class was emjoyed for all the students, and also for all the teachers that were there, including to me. The materials, the activities that was developed on the class was very good.
